What Is The Community-Developed Tron Wallet?
In a nutshell, the Tron community has pulled together and those with development skills have dedicated their time to create a variety of different Tron wallets for different devices. Right now, the community has released options for the following devices: Android, web wallet, Chrome, desktop, and iOS.
The good news is that Tron has listed all these wallets on their official website and have seemingly endorsed these different ways to store TRX. The right download for you will depend on the device you want to use to store your TRX coins.
The thing to know is that all these options support the new Tron blockchain. Older guides may tell you to store TRX coins in MEW and other Ethereum based solutions. This is because Tron used to be an Ethereum ERC-20 token. However, now the Tron main net has been launched, the project has its own blockchain and TRX coins are no longer compatible with Ethereum based storage options.
The important thing to take away from this is that any solution you use must support the new Tron blockchain. If you send your TRX coins to an Ethereum storage solution now, you will likely lose your TRX coins.
What Coins Do The Tron Community Wallets Support?
These wallets are specifically designed to store TRX coins and nothing else. No other cryptocurrencies can be stored in these TRX storage solutions right now. However, in the future, it is almost certain that they will support any cryptocurrencies built on the Tron blockchain.

The Quick & Easy Way To Store Tron!
Step 1: Getting Started
Once you have gone through the download link, you will need to create a password. This password in combination with your private key will unlock your Tron TRX wallet, so make sure you choose a strong password.
You will then be asked to download your keystore file. This download will allow you to gain access to your funds if your device is lost. Never share your keystore file with anyone and do try to keep it as safe as possible. We recommend storing it offline on a flash drive and deleting the file from your computer.
Once you click ‘next’, you will be shown your private key. We recommend never storing this on your computer and instead to print it out or write it down with pen and paper. It might be a good idea to store your private key in a plastic ziplock bag to protect it from water damage.
Never share your private key with anyone. Keep it safe and treat it like the PIN number to your bank account.
Once you click ‘next’ your wallet will then be created. Then just hit the ‘Go To Account Page’ button.
Step 2: How To Use The Tron Web Wallet
To deposit TRX coins in your new wallet, you will need to give the sender your public address. You can find this in the homepage section. If you want to get your TRX coins off an exchange, just enter this public address as the recipient address.
If you want to send TRX coins to someone else, just click the ‘Wallet’ button in the top right-hand corner and select ‘Send’.
Then enter the public address of the person you wish to send TRX coins to and key in the amount. Then click the ‘Send’ button and you have done it.

Final Word
There you have it, nearly everything you need to know about setting up and using a Tron wallet. For those who want an Android option, this does exist. However, we do not have access to an Android phone which means we cannot review it properly.
